HDBaseT No Video - HDBaseT requires that connected equipment support what is known as Clock Stretching. While this feature was a requirement starting with HDMI 1.3, not all HDMI 1.3 products support it, and it was not a requirement for HDMI 1.2, which is still used in many set top boxes and AVRs. No video may appear if the devices connected to HDBaseT extenders do not support Clock Stretching. Fortunately there is a simple work around that will allow the HDBaseT to work with these products. The solution is to insert a B-220-HDSPLTR between the device and the HDBaseT extender.Power Supply Voltage - Binary HDBaseT HDMI extenders use a 24 Volt DC power supply. All other Binary HDMI extenders use a 5 Volt DC power supply, and matrix switchers with integrated Cat 5 extenders use 12 Volt DC supplies. Using the 24 Volt DC power supply with any 5 or 12 Volt Binary product will result in damage to the product and possibly the power supply. Be sure to use the correct power supply with the correct product.Shielded Cable Recommendation - Although HDBaseT transmission technology is much less susceptible to EMI interference than other transmission technologies, if possible, it is recommended that you pull shielded Cat5e/Cat6 with this product for maximum reliability. Please note: for proper shielding, shielded connectors must be used with drains connected at both ends. In addition, “EZ end” connectors are not recommended for use with HDMI extenders.4K@30Hz with Full 3D Support
This receiver offers full support of 4K@30Hz (including HDMI® with 3D), Deep Color (36bit) and HDCP 2.2, as well as support for Dolby® True HD, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS™-HD Master and LPCM audio formats. Please note, 4K support varies by distance and cable type, please refer to specifications for further details.
Benefits of HDBaseT Technology
Thanks to HDBaseT technology, this Binary™ Receiver is able to receive full uncompressed 1080p HD video and audio through a single CAT cable up to 230 feet. It provides greater RF immunity, so you get a better and more reliable signal, plus it's easier to install because you don’t have to fiddle with any EQ or EDID settings.
Bi-Directional IR
Over the same CAT cable, you can easily send IR to equipment back at the head-end from the TV location. If an automation or remote system is being used, an adapter cable is included to allow control of the TV from the controller. For best performance, use our Episode® IR flashers and receivers.
Work Smarter, Not Harder
Forget about wasting precious install time running back and forth, fiddling with transmitter and receiver settings, and struggling to get a good picture. With this receiver there are no EQ or EDID settings required – all you do is plug and play.
HDBaseT Compliant
This receiver complies with HDBaseT standards, meaning it can not only pair with our Binary HDBaseT transmitter, but also any other 3rd party device that has an integrated HDBaseT transmitter – such as an AV receiver. The result is reliable end-to-end performance with dependable interoperability among a wide range of HDBaseT products.
Built-In ESD and Surge Protection
Intelligent circuit design perfected with feedback from extensive hardware qualification testing has resulted in a very robust product with excellent ESD and Surge protection. During development, they were hit with ESD at 15KV and surges up to 2500V.
