Exceptional low frequency responsiveness is made possible in the 500 series thanks to an injection-molded polypropylene woofer. The high-pressure liquid injection process results in a lighter, stronger material that produces clear detailed bass. The ES-500s 1” fabric dome tweeter delivers smooth, natural high frequency performance.

We don't over-engineer the construction of Episode® speakers just so that they survive bouncing around in your van. Our build quality also eliminates one of the most common problems in architectural speaker designs — secondary speaker resonance that "colors" the sound and reduces fidelity. Tweeter Compensation Switch
In multi-room audio installations, no two rooms are alike. Floor coverings, drapes, windows and furniture all impact how a speaker sounds in a room. With the ES-500, you can quickly adjust the tweeter's output by 3db to compensate for rooms with more or less sound absorbing materials.
